This Father's Day, I find myself reflecting not only on the loss of my father, but on the enduring gifts that continue to shape my life.

1. Tomorrow is not promised. Make moments and memories a priority.
2. There is no substitute for presence. Time given is love made real and transcendent.
3. A daughter's sense of value and worth is often profoundly shaped by her father.
4. Fathers help establish a model for healthy relationships through the way they love, honor, and lead.
5. For many children, a father becomes one of the earliest tangible experiences of God's love, protection, and steadfastness on earth.
6. Discuss death before it arrives. Memorialize wishes, prepare wills, and have difficult conversations. These acts of love can lessen the burden of acute grief for those left behind.
7. A grounded father cultivates inner strength and resilience through structure, correction, guidance, and affirmation.
8. A father's transparency, honesty, and vulnerability are often secret ingredients to developing capacity for deep connection.
9. A father's emotional wisdom helps cultivate stronger identity, greater contentment, and deeper discernment in his daughters.
10. Fathers are powerful teachers of stewardship. The lessons they impart about work, generosity, and financial responsibility can become pathways toward freedom for generations.
Today, I remember my father with gratitude. His life reminds me that while our days are finite, the character we form and the love we invest in others can endure long after we are gone.
